Understanding ClinicalTrials.gov.
Trial Radar provides access to information about clinical trials primarily sourced from ClinicalTrials.gov, which is maintained by the National Library of Medicine (NLM). Please refer to these Terms and Conditions for use of ClinicalTrials.gov data.
- Trial Radar does not modify data sourced from clinicaltrials.gov.
- The U.S. government does not review or approve the safety and science of studies listed on ClinicalTrials.gov. Study sponsors or investigators are responsible for the safety, science, and accuracy of their listed studies.
- ClinicalTrials.gov is an online database of clinical research studies, maintained by the NLM. It includes studies sponsored and funded by a range of public and private organizations globally. Not all studies are overseen or funded by U.S. government agencies.
- Study information on ClinicalTrials.gov is provided by the sponsors or investigators. They are responsible for compliance with laws, regulations, and for providing accurate, complete information. NLM staff reviews submissions for apparent errors or inconsistencies.
- Joining a study is a personal decision. Before participating, assess the risks and benefits and consult with healthcare professionals. Learn more about participating in clinical research studies by visiting the 'Learn About Studies' section on ClinicalTrials.gov.

User Anonymity and Data Security
While Trial Radar ensures user anonymity in general usage, the "Alerts" feature requires users to provide an email address to receive notifications. This section explains how we handle and protect your email information.

Email Collection for Alerts: For users opting into our "Alerts" service, an email address is necessary. This is the sole piece of personally identifiable information we collect for this specific feature.

Data Protection: We use the HS256 algorithm, a variant of the HMAC SHA-256 algorithm, for both encrypting and hashing your email address for secure storage. This ensures enhanced security and privacy, transforming your email into a unique and encrypted string that is unreadable and protected against unauthorized access.
